Erin's Sweet Shoppe
Welcome! In Erin's Sweet Shop you'll find a large variety of homemade candies, baked goods, and more! Many of the recipes used by my daughter, Erin, are variations of those that have been in our family for generations. Erin's great-great grandparents owned a small family restaurant in the early 1900's located in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country. The restaurant was a favorite among locals and known for their "down-home" Pennsylvania Dutch cooking and baked goods. Erin's great-grandmother (my grandmother) worked in this restaurant along with her mother and her grandmother and learned their baking secrets first-hand. Growing up, Erin spent many weekends with her great-grandmother learning to bake cookies and muffins using the old family recipes.
In addition, Erin makes a variety of homemade Seasoned Pretzels (using her own blend of gourmet spices) and Dry Dip Mixes (again using her own special blend of gourmet spices). All you need to do is add mayo or sour cream and you've got a party!
For chocolate lovers . . . . be sure to try Erin's "Buckeyes" (a peanut butter and chocolate confection to die for!). And, don't forget about her decadent Chocolate-Covered Pretzels!
